ANATOMY.
Divided into SFW and NSFW for your convenience. May be updated as time goes on.
SFW:
- I headcanon Genji looking something like this underneath his armor. He's a quadriplegic, meaning all his limbs are artificial and capable of being removed. His legs end somewhere below the hip.
- Comparing the ref sheet and the photo shown in Recall, I'd say the white pieces are armor, and the brown parts are lining/a body suit of some kind. It's removable only on his torso, whereas it's a built-in thing on his limbs/protheses. The lining helps regulate his body and armor temperature and on his protheses it acts as waterproofing.
- That said, he is highly vulnerable to EMPs. Mercy's care in the process of rebuilding his body means he won't die when hit by one, but it will render him basically non-functional until he can get proper care. He is less vulnerable to hacking; it's still possible, but it takes some doing.
- Genji is still perfectly capable of eating and drinking, but he has to be careful about it; some of his organs took damage and are now medically assisted, so some foods are harder to break down than others. He can eat the more difficult foods, but it also means it's more difficult for his body to process it, and can lead to internal pain/nausea/generally Bad Times if he's not careful. Genji only risks it when he really, REALLY wants to eat whatever it is. He's pretty okay in drinking whatever though.
- Due to the trauma from his fight with Hanzo, Genji's body has issues with sweating/cooling down, which is what the vents on his shoulders are for.
NSFW:
- In the genital department, his originals are gone, but thankfully Science™ has rebuilt him. He has a robotic dick which remains inside his body when not needed, and slides out when aroused. It's colored the same greys and greens of his armor, made of a biorganic material that allows it to simulate flesh, and he's completely capable of receiving sensations from it as well as coming. He's actually more sensitive than he used to be. His hole remains in tact.
+ I'm also more than willing to thread him as completely lacking in genitalia/with more robotic anatomy in order to play around with other kinks like wireplay.
